RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES AT THE SAWFACE FACILITY
The SAWFACE facility offers opportunities to study how biogeochemical processes and interactions respond when exposed to some critical variables as elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide, temperature, ultraviolet radiation, ozone, etc.
The aim of this environmental research infrastructure is to provide convenient access to researchers in order to conduct research for the advancement of knowledge and technology. The first opportunity is related with the study of wetland processes under elevated atmospheric CO2. If you is interested in conducting a research in this SAWFACE facility contact with us. The SAWFACE facility is also open to other researchers which although not focused in wetlands are interested on the study of the plant/soil/microbial responses to elevated CO2. Always the facility reserves a space within the FACE plots to put their experiences on pots, containers or similar. If you are interested in conducting this research type, please contact with us. SAWFACE is open to multiple simultaneous research collaborations, but limited by the available space. In any of the cited research opportunities, the SAWFACE facility will be responsible for the basic operation of the experiment (keeping the appropriate elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration) but not for any specific sampling. Please, contact us to expose your case. |
